So the year's almost over, and it's time for me to reflect on what's happened throughout the year. Here's a list of things I've learned this year, that I wish I could have told myself last January ...
1. Money buys things. If you have enough money, you live. If you don't have enough money, you survive. And if you have too much money, people steal it.
2. Friends are not expendable. You need them. They need you. Yes, you'll fight, but 15 minutes after you call her a bitch, you'll realize she's one of the best things in your life. So apologize. Don't call her a bitch anymore. And put up her flaws, because you've got some too.
3. iPods, no matter how green they may be, will NOT make you popular. And even though you spent an entire year trying to convince people that's not why you bought it, they won't listen. And they'll call you a poser. Just like if you wear lots of eyeliner and consider dying your hair black. They're the posers. They don't understand that people actually do things for reasons other than looking cool. So you keep doing what you want for whatever reasons you want and ignore them because they're useless.
4. Some people annoy you on occasion. Some people annoy you all the time. This is no excuse to hurt them. They are still people, no matter how much they follow you or how many stupid questions they ask. God still loves them. You should try it.
5. Long thick hair is the spawn of Satan.
6. Banff is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places on Earth. Take as many pictures as you want, no matter who looks at you strange or who thinks you're an idiot.
7. Finding friends in unexpected places is magical. Those people you randomly hung out with? They're cool too. Don't give in to the pressure of staying in your own group of friends. Step out of your comfort zone, and you'll have a hell of a lot more fun.
8. Food prepared by nice old ladies will always fix a broken heart. No matter who broke it or how.
9. Boys all suck. Some of them are just better at hiding it than others, and those are the ones you want to surround yourself with.
10. Making lists is the best way to arrange your thoughts in order of when you think of them. There is no significance to the order in which you place them, but parents, teachers, and other adults are more likely to give you things if you attempt to look organized. They never find out that you aren't.
11. You're opinions are just fine. You don't have to change them for anyone else if you don't want to. People who change their mind because other people say so are called conformists. And although they seem to be the most popular right now, they'll grow up and be a grand total of nothing special, because they're spineless. You might think you want to be one of them, but you're wrong.
12. Randomly bursting into song is only allowed in movies. People look at you funny if you do it too often.
13. Making people laugh is the most wonderful thing you can do. Better than buying them something, better than compliments, better than giving advice. Sometimes all they need is a little humor to put life into perspective.
14. Emo boys are hot. Period.
15. Some girls will think you are strange for thinking emo boys are hot. They have not met an emo boy.
16. Chuck Norris jokes are always funny. Even when you've heard them a thousand times, they still make you laugh inside.
17. Song lyrics never exactly explain your life unless you write them yourself. And writing songs isn't lame. It's creative. People who think writing songs is lame are mindless MTV zombies with no back bone. (see #3 and 11)
18. Homework and water do not mix nicely. Water has a never-ending vendetta against homework, and when the two meet, water wins.

quick explanation ...
just to be clear: i've had this blog for over a year, but i've removed the old posts because i'm not that person anymore. i didn't delete them, i just drafted them so the whole damn world can't see them. what i'm trying to say is ...
minus yesterdays, all the blogs prior to that are either from my journal or my myspace. so maybe that'll clarify the angsty myspace layout blog a little bit :P
so what are you guyses all up to? i'm not doing much. i'm on my spare right now, lunch in 40, and i'm majorly hungry already.
i hate being stared at and when people point out something i already obviously know. i also hate public computers, because people always seem to stare at my computer. it's annoying. like when i'm checking my myspace or something and people are staring at the screen, and its like wtf? yes, that's me in the picture. yes, i'm wearing black lipstick. no, i'm not goth. and yes, i took it myself. i should just put that as the caption ... for every freaking picture. ugh, people annoy me.
[40 minute bell :D]
maybe you guys didn't know this, but blogger has this function where it saves your blog as a draft every i think 2 minutes. it's brilliant! it's for those of us who multitask :P like, when i go on the internet to do homework, i check my email, then my myspace and facebook, and then here. so sometimes, parental units and/or hateful teachers come along and one must close the window. this way, if i have to close the window, i only lose a few thoughts. it's totally made for people with rubbish memories.
i totally just poked jessica in the face. she's sitting next to me in the library. on the computer. all slouchy in her chair. we're like, twins right now :D except that she's actually working and i'm not. that's probably kinda stupid of me, but i'll work in my chem spare.
it's snowing here :) it's so pretty, i wish you all could see it. winter is beautiful :D the only downfall is that i'm still on crutches, and manda + snow + crutches = trouble. crutches challenge my balance. and traction. and sense of direction ... there is no way to be graceful on crutches :P i mean, not like i'm graceful at all to begin with, but like, come on. this is brutal.
i'm being stared at again. >.<
grr, i don't like nosy people. so i'll just turn my screen slightly away from that direction.
haha poor kyle, the phone keeps ringing. lol that's what you get i suppose :P he sounds too professional :S it's like, you're 17, not 35 :P. wierd.
carson's here, he'll probably accost "the cripple" (a.k.a. me)
well, i'm pretty much out of random library observations to blog. oh i'll be changing my url soon, mine sounds pretty little kiddish. i mean, it's cute and everything, but kinda ... 7 year old :P and i am definetly no 7 year old. i'll probably forget to tell you the new address, but don't be offended, i forget everyone :)
haha oh, he didn't even come make fun of me :P how polite *rolls eyes*
na na ... na na na na ... hey hey hey ... goodbye.
peace bitches

i'll be blogging for christmas
so i've decided to begin blogging again. here i am - tada!
i'm in a weird mood today. i don't really know what it is ... i mean, i'm tired, i know that much. but that's from the concert last night, and because i didn't get to bed until 3 in the morning. the alarm clock was cruel to me and still woke me up :[
so right now, i kind of miss people. i'm not hinting either ... "oh i miss someone special ;]" ... like, no. i'm not a freaking barbie. i miss a bunch of people: kathryn, mel, geoff, mitch, joel, mal, audrey ... those type of people. and some of them i don't know when i'll see them next :[ i hate that i live so far away from so many of the people i care about.
but anyways. i'm in the library right now, on spare, and i should probably go get my history homework from coddie before history class. apparently it's only supposed to take like, 15 minutes, and i've got half an hour, so i should be good. i actually think i'm going to go do that right now.
talk to you all later
